The Work Experience Certification Scheme is a tool developed by SNV to certify competencies gained in the workplace and the skills of workers not yet recognised in the formal labour market.
The certification of workers that have not had sufficient academic opportunities offers important benefits for the company and the workers alike. For the company it represents an increase in productivity and savings in the manufacturing process. For the worker, the qualification offers better opportunities to increase income and guarantee insertion into the formal labour market.
According to recent data from SNV in Bolivia, the percentage of people who do not count on some form of work qualification totals 70% of the 4.5 million economically active people in the country.
