On the 30th of April, the FORUM ALTERNATIVE CHANNEL, social networks and responsible media, will be held in Barcelona, organized by Iwith.org and Alternative Channel. Our hope is that this forum will be a meeting place for experts in social networks, TIC and web 2.0; professionals of social and responsible communications; and third sector actors like International Groups, NGO’s and entities.
The first Alternative Channel Forum organized by Alternative Channel in conjunction with Iwith.org is an unprecedented event because of it’s importance as well as the topics to be addressed. The event originated with the intention of promoting use of new Internet applications between third sector actors (associations, foundations, NGO’s). Some 200 people interested in learning how to participate in the web 2.0, how to put a video on the Internet, o how to improve visibility on the network are expected to participate.
The day is divided into three main themes:
1. Social Networks: viral marketing, publishing and sharing information
2. Influencing, awareness and responsibility
3. Communication for development: TIC and social transformation
In turn, these themes will be analyzed in 3 formats:
