The projects submitted to the Diputación should aim at promoting the reinforcement of local public policies, good gouvernance at the local level, active women participation in local development or transborder local development.

The priority geographical areas are: Maghreb (Morroco, Tunisia and Algeria), Central America (Nicaragua, Honduras and Guatemala) and South America (Peru, Ecuador, Bolivia and Colombia).
The Diputacion stresses the fact that for local development to succeed, the NGOs from the North should go beyond their role as "funds receiver" and engage in a real partnership with the local NGOs providing help in administration and sharing experiences.
The international relations division of the Diputación has made other calls for proposals concerning punctual actions for sensibilisation and projects for sensibilisation in concertation activities.The deadline is 28 February. Tne projects should have a duration from 18 to 24 months and should be submitted by NGOs registred in the province of Barcelona with local partners. The Diputacion will contribute between 20% and 60% of the costs of the project for a maximum of 150.000 euros per project.
