EU Support to transnational projects for young people


The European Union has launched a call for the submission of innovative co-operation, training and information projects for young people. Projects have to involve partner organisations from at least four different countries (including the applicant), must have a strong transnational European component and must involve young people and youth workers in the preparation, implementation and follow-up of activities. 3InterCAT welcomes this initiative that aims at reinforcing links and partnerships amongst different associations.

All applications for this EU call of proposals have to follow one of the five priority themes be innovative and show new approaches: Cultural diversity and tolerance; Less favoured regions; Eastern Europe - Caucasus - South East Europe; Innovation in European Citizenship education; Co-operation between local or regional authorities and youth NGOs.

All non-profit making organisations and local and regional authorities with a legal identity which have their seat in one of the Programme countries and are willing to develop activities in line with the Youth programme’s objectives, are entitled to apply under this Call.

Projects must be of duration of at least 18 months. If justified, a maximum duration of up to 3 years will be accepted. The maximum funding amount per project will not exceed EUR 100.000 per year (12 months) of activity and the maximum grant will not exceed EUR 300.000. The deadline for submitting applications is 1 July 2006. Activities must start between 1 January 2007 and 28 February 2007.
