On 22nd January, the Vicepresident of the Government of Catalonia, Josep-Lluís Carod-Rovira, signed a framework agreement of understanding between the Catalan Agency for Development Cooperation (ACCD) and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), through which both institutions commited to a strengthening of the relationship. The Government of Catalonia has collaborated with the UNDP since 2004 on specific projects, but the current memorandum will enable the relationship to become more active and its scope to be extended to new areas.
