Geologists of the World has developed the project "Poor x Disasters", a project of sensitization in Catalonia with the objective to introduce the impact of natural disasters on societies; raise awareness of political and social actors, as well as the Catalan population in general of the need to establish policies of prevention. The project has received the support of the Catalan Agency for development cooperation and the School of Geologists.

The little attention and the bad policies towards natural disasters -centered mainly on emergency interventions and not on prevention and preparation-, have caused in the last years economic and human losses that are higher to the losses from wars or other types of disasters in all the world. An exhibition will allow to learn more on this.
