The Abcore Cadí platform provides a further increase in security with new requests for the creation of passwords during the configuration of e-mail accounts, thus, making more difficult the theft of an access password.
We improve the safety of your passwords in Abcore Cadí with an update that will further protect the information of your accounts. From the 28 September 2017 onwards, the requirements to create a new password will be tougher. This change will not be applicable to the accounts already existing or created, but it will be applicable to new accounts. Despite, we also recommend our existing users to change their password and follow the new requirements that will apply from the indicated date onwards.
  • At least 8 characters long
  • Al least one lowercase letter
  • Al least one uppercase letter
  • A number
  • A non alphanumeric character (!, $, #, %, space, etc.)
If the passwords of the new email accounts don’t follow these requirements, the system will automatically reject that password and will indicate the mistakes made in order to ensure better safety. Some mistakes that could be indicated are:
  • Passwords must be at least 8 characters long.
  • Passwords should contain a combination of uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers and non-alphanumeric characters.
Another improvement implemented in the administrators’ control panel is a security test to check if an administrator is real when the system is not certain that it is not a robot. If the system has doubts about an user being a robot, the administrator must complete a verification task.

In Abcore Cadí, security is an issue that we don’t forget about and for this reason we are committed to improve for the benefit of non-profit organisations and NGOs.
