The publicity tool Facebook Ads constitutes a great advantage for both NGOs and third sector actors, as it allows them to invest in publicity tailored to reach a highly segmented audience. Mark Zuckerberg’s social network collects user data which organisations can leverage to promote their content. Furthermore, if you want your page to gain more “likes” or more views quickly, the Facebook Ads option allows you to increase traffic for a relatively low price (which can always be changed) and to watch the campaign’s evolution while it is active.

Facebook allows you to create the following types of campaigns:

• To promote posts
• To promote your page
• To attract people to your website
• To increase website conversions
• To increase app downloads
• To increase app interactions+
• To reach people who are looking for you
• To increase event participation
• To increase requests for your product or service
• To increase your video’s replay count

Non-profit organisations can take advantage of all these options for different reasons, for example: to spread their latest campaign video; to encourage users to donate and to provide their support during fundraising campaigns; or to publicise an event so as to increase the number of participants.

In each campaign you will be able to choose a single objective, so that all advertisement in that campaign will have the same goal. The most entertaining and creative part of the process is configuring the ads: trying out texts, changing images, varying the segmentation rules, and filtering for different behaviours and interests to help you improve your results.

Continue reading Open Call: Grant Programme for Sports Web Projects!

iWith.org Foundation has launched the "Grant Programme for Sports Organisations Web Projects"  to design an identifiable, brand new web for a sports organisation. The programme aims to aid these organisations to take advantage of the potentials of the Internet whereby a desirable world can be achieved. The programme is funded by the athlete Oriol Gaspa.

Sports associations, federations, foundations, clubs and teams, amongst others, can apply.

The conditions are as follows:

Aims of the programme:
Helping sports organisations to take advantage of the possibilities the Internet has to offer, especially, in web-based communication. 

Process and participants:

• First stage: Individual advice will be given by the foundation iWith.org on every successful application. The first meeting will be held in order to analyse the organisations’ needs and to evaluate the best alternatives to design the web page.
• Second stage: A document with further recommendations and proposals will be presented.
• Third stage: The grant committee of iWith.org will select one of the previously advised projects to design their web through the Grant Programme.

Winner's prize:
Along with the design of the web page, the prize will include hosting and web development in Abcore Cadí, entitlement to responsive web design templates, training, and web communication tools such as newsletters, events, press release service and support. The selected project will receive support until 2021 for free.

Continue reading Cristina Navarrete (Aúna): “We value iWith more as a strategic partner than as a service provider”

Aúna has renovated and modernised its web page design and it is now much more accessible, visual, intuitive and easier to navigate. To do so, Aúna have put their trust in Internet Services Platform Abcore Cadí to manage their web communication and, among other things, enable an rMail service that allows the management of their emails, bulk mail and newsletters. The Aúna project helps initiatives with a social end to fulfil their mission through knowledge and social innovation. Cristina Navarrete, Project Manager of Aúna, explains to us what it has been like to work with iWith.org.

1. How did you get to know about us and how did your contact evolve during the consultation session?
We got to know about iWith.org through the internet, searching for opportunities for Aúna. The consultation session took place via Skype and, overall, we connected really well with the team. There has been a great willingness on the organisation’s part to understand our project and our needs.

2. Which actions took place to bring about the project with Aúna?
Following the consultation session by Skype, we received a more detailed proposal by email which included the web development. We had another Skype session to look at the details of the proposal that was finally adapted to our means. For the web development, we have had several sessions over Skype, exchanging emails and receiving training to use the Abdore Cadí Platform.

3. Did you find any difficulties in implementing the project?
Some; mostly relating to meeting deadlines and the web design.  

4. To what extent was the training useful?
It was very useful, although we then had to reinforce it with some additional consultations.

5. How satisfied is Aúna with the final result?
We are happy!

6. How would you value the assistance and support from iWith.org?
The support and the way the team has been there for us has been good. There has always been great willingness on the part of iWith, although we would have liked to be a little more flexible at times.

7. Would you recommend working with us to other people? Why?
Yes. Beyond the web creation, we have felt that there has been a desire to work on more projects together, as such, we value iWith more as a strategic partner than as a service provider.
