The work of establishing the Arigatou International – Nairobi office has been finalized and the staffing completed. The office will serve as the GNRC’s global secretariat and will also be home to the Interfaith Initiative to End Child Poverty which was launched during the GNRC Fourth Forum in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania in June 2012.

Arigatou International Appoints Director for Interfaith Initiative to End Child Poverty

Rev. Fred Nyabera of Kenya has been named the director of Arigatou International’s new multi-stakeholder initiative to reduce poverty’s devastating effects on the world’s children. The initiative, first announced at the fourth global forum of the GNRC in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, in June 2012, was tentatively titled Mobilizing Faith-based Resources to End Child Poverty. Rev. Nyabera will apply his expertise as a social scientist, trained theologian and pastor, as well as his experience with NGO partnerships and development work, to help shape the new initiative.
