On 12th May the network of Catalan Schools engaged with the world held its meeting in Barcelona. The network was born in 2004 to exchange and brainstorm on the educational experiences lived by schools, administrations, local institutions and Catalan NGOs in the areas of cooperation, solidarity, education for peace, development and human rights.
The United Nations Association of Spain, with the support of the Parliament of Catalonia and the collaboration of the Catalan Government, the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation and the Barcelona City Council organised a conference on “The Role of Civil Society, the Middle East Conflict and the Options for a Peaceful Future” from 11 to 13 April 2007.
