The mayor of Barcelona, Joan Clos and the president of the Autonomous Government of Catalonia, Pasqual Maragall, inaugurated on 27 June 2006 a new United Nations office, part of the project for the Millennium Development Goals: a declaration which is based on eight points to eradicate poverty in the world. The other offices are in New York, Washington, London and Paris.
The exhibition is organized by the Barcelona Solidarity Medicine Foundation, in collaboration with the House of Asia (Casa Asia), in the context of a project integrating teaching and technologies to combat cardiovascular disease that will be developed in Mongolia in 2006-2007.
