The European Union has launched a call for the submission of innovative co-operation, training and information projects for young people. Projects have to involve partner organisations from at least four different countries (including the applicant), must have a strong transnational European component and must involve young people and youth workers in the preparation, implementation and follow-up of activities. 3InterCAT welcomes this initiative that aims at reinforcing links and partnerships amongst different associations.
It is appropriated in 3interCAT a brief account about the Cybersociety's Observatory, a meeting point, discussion and research about new issues that the TICs are creating. It wants to encourage the sociological interest about the cyberworld, understanding it like a social&cultural reality, not only technological.
The Alert Unit on conflicts, human rights and peace building of the School of Peace Culture (Escola Cultura de Pau), has launched a new electronic monthly newsletter.
Several catalan administrations support NGO development projects. The last call for projects launched by the Diputación of Barcelona provides an example of the type of project supported and the geographical areas considered as a priority.
