The 2019 Global NGO Technology Survey is a global research project published in Arabic, English, French, Portuguese and Spanish intended to gain a better understanding of how organisations and collaborators use technology for fundraising.

Promoted by the non-profit organization 'Tech for Good' and sponsored by 'Public Interest Registry', the survey is an innovative study that aims to discover, among other data, the number of publications per week of organizations on Facebook and Twitter, how they use their web pages as fundraising tools or how, these same organizations, make use of emails for marketing and communication.

The research in which we invite you to participate this year focuses on the web, email communications, online fundraising, social networks, and data management. If you participate in a non-profit project, we invite you to collaborate in the survey through the following link.

Take the survey for the NGO Global Technology 2019.

The Public Interest Registry is a non-profit organization created by the 'Internet Society' (ISOC) in 2003 in order to administer the .org domain. In 2015, the organization launched the .ngo and .ong domains to better serve the global NGO community.

Likewise, 'Tech For Good' has around 100.000 visitors per month and more than a million followers on social networks. Currently, it is one of the largest online fundraising blogs and a professional social network that works with nonprofit organizations.

The results of the fourth edition of this global technology report will be published on September 16, 2019. Previous editions of the report also published the results of the last year on the use of technology in NGOs.

El Informe global sobre tecnología de ONG de 2018 se basa en los resultados de encuestas de 5.352 ONG en todo el mundo. To carry out the research 'Tech For Good' has chosen significant partners in 22 countries among which
Global: ICT4D Conference
USA: Foundation Center
Spain: iWith.org
India: NGO BOX
France WEB ASSOC.org
Reyno Unido TechTrust
Ireland: Digital Charity Lab

The survey is 100% anonymous and will not include any questions that may reveal personal and identifying information. To participate in the survey, click on the following link.

It is a service proposal focused on the construction of food bridges between different excessive focuses of elaborate food (school meals, old people's homes, day centers, hospitals ...) or other surpluses that may occur in the rest of the food chain (defects in packaging, quality policies, preferential consumption ...) and food recipients.

The project aims to change the way of combating food waste with the aim, also, of dignifying people and their right to food. Because the stigmatization that exists around poverty is well known, the project aims to create a food surplus for all users who want to access this service either in need or through social awareness.

The idea is that all those people who need to make use of the service can choose their own foods (unlike the system of distribution by batch of products) to advance to the risk of social exclusion of the people and reduce the factors of vulnerability .

More than twenty projects chose the prize

Specifically, this time we have offered advice to all these projects:

La Iera, Social Ares, Aragonese Association of Cystic Fibrosis, Domitila Association, La Merienda, Asperger Alicante, El Ecoelectricista, Kakolum ONGD, Community Food Center, Base A-Architecture and cooperation, Telecooperatiu, SOS Solar Solidarity, La Magalla, Lliura Zero Residus, Galgos Protective Association, Espai Ambiental, Rezero, Pont Alimentari (Banc de recursos) and Horseheart.

From iWith.org we would like to congratulate the winning project and we will offer our support to improve the web and its presence on the Internet.

Successful participation in the International Conference for the digital transformation of NGOs ...

Successful participation in the International Conference for the digital transformation of NGOs ...

32 participants from 7 countries attended the event and considered that the issue of digital transformation must be one of the crucial premises for the development of NGO.

On February 15, iWith.org hosted the International Conference for the digital transformation of youth organizations, the promotion of peace and human rights. ('Digital Transformation of youth organizations promoting pace and human rights').

32 participants from Spain, Romania, Greece, Bulgaria, Poland, Hungary and Latvia participated in the Conference and had the opportunity to reflect on the topic of digital transformation.

The conference was the final public event within the TURN ONline strategic partnership project, funded by the Erasmus Plus program and which has been developed throughout 2018.

Within the conference presented the results of the project developed in four themes: digital management, online communication, online learning and online activism. The participants also had the opportunity to attend the following workshops:

  • Digital tools for NGO management: Trello, Asana and Freedcamp.
  • How to communicate peace and human rights
  • Online activism: best practices and future perspectives.
  • E-learning in the field of youth: how to create an online course within youth NGOs.

Online activism is a field, within the digital environment, quite new in this field and during the conference the best practices that inspired the participants to organize their own actions of online activism were presented.

Throughout the conference, participants also had the opportunity to discuss approaches and actions aimed at promoting communication for peace and human rights, such as narration and the types of communication campaigns that can be promoted in this regard. These approaches allowed the participants to be more efficient in their communication work.

The attendees stressed that the conference has given them the opportunity to have at their disposal more tools and resources to deepen more in the digital field and, in this way, develop more precise actions within the field of communication.

In this link you can see some images of the conference.
