Although Hurricane Sandy is moving out of the Northeast, there is plenty of work to be done. Whether helping people rebuild their communities or sharing information, there are various ways we can get involved.
- Make a donation: Craig Newmark, the founder of Craigslist, has generously offered to match up $25,000 in donations to Sandy relief efforts. Learn more and make a donation.
- Volunteer: The Red Cross needs volunteers to help at emergency shelters in New York. Read more about the opportunities.
- Stay informed: This is a confusing time for many people, so having the right information is key. The Huffington Post has shared a list of apps to help you keep track of the storm as well as additional resources so you stay informed.
