The project Share to educate has taken place within Iwith's Ab·soo program with the colaboration of the UOC's Campus for Peace. With this project lots of teachers in the rural areas of Latin America have been able to access online top level university training.
With the initiative of the Rigoberta Menchú Tum Foundation, the objective nowadays is the Digital Democratisation of Guatemala with three main points:
- Organization of the educational system to include Information Technologies (IT) and minority maya tongues, using the experience gained during the last decades in Catalonia, having the Maya University in mind
- Training in using Information Technologies
- Adaptation and translation of OpenOffice and other OpenSource software to maya tongues

The Rigoberta Menchú Tum Foundation is the institutional platform for Rigoberta Menchú Tum La Fundación Rigoberta Menchú Tum, Nobel Peace Price 1992. This guarantees the realisation of projects, programs and actions for the Human Rights of the indigenous people, for the political solution of conflicts via dialogue, negotiations and peace treaties.
Campus for Peace (C4P) is the cooperation program of the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (UOC), with which the institution cooperates with knowledge, resources, technical skills and coordinating and supporting the university comunity in terms of solidarity and ethical compromise with society.

Iwith.org is a non-profit entity that works to avoid digital exclusion. Its initiatives include areas as education, development and comunication.
Iwith.org helps to improve the world offering the right technological tools for organisations that work to solve society's problems (human rights, environment, sustainable development, childhood, health or third age). The new technologies are the key for a greater efficiency of these organisations.
Now the project is open to 3interCAT community accepting news collaborations.
