El secretari general de les Nacions Unides, Ban Ki Moon, en una nota publicada per commemorar la celebració del Dia Internacional de les Desaparicions Forçades el proppassat dia 30 d'agost reafirma que les desaparicions forçades són una pràctica inadmisible al segle XXI.
La Convenció Internacional per a la Protecció de totes les Persones contra les Desaparicions Forçades que va entrar en vigor el desembre de 2010 ha estat signada fins ara per 93 Estats i ratificada per 43.
La família catalana que va donar la volta al món amb els seus fills de 3 i 5 anys ha plasmat les seves vivències en un llibre. Els beneficis que obtinguin de la seva venda es destinaran a l'Angkor Hospital for Children.
Fa mig any que van tornar d'un viatge de 550 dies i ja tenen a les seves mans un llibre amb fotografies i experiències de la seva volta al món.
L'Albert, la Karina, el Bernat i l'Abril han vist com el seu llibre es feia realitat gràcies a una campanya de micromecenatge que van llençar a través de Verkami .
La seva edició no té cap tipus d'ànim de lucre i tots els beneficis que es generin de la venda del llibre aniran destinats a un dels hospitals que van visitar durant la seva estada a Cambodja: l'ONG Angkor Hospital for Children.
La Karina, mare de família, afirmava que "volíem donar els diners a un lloc que haguéssim conegut i que signifiqués alguna cosa per nosaltres. A Siem Reap vam coincidir amb un metge d'Estats Units que estava treballant en aquest hospital gratuïtament i, a través d'aquest metge, el vam poder anar a visitar".
A la pàgina web on han anat relatant les vivències del dia a dia, la família dóna les gràcies a tots els micromecenes, que al llarg del mes de setembre rebran els exemplars del llibre publicat.
És un hospital fundat per una ONG el 1999 i situat a la ciutat cambodjana de Siem Reap. Està especialitzat en nens, procedents sobretot de les àrees rurals més pobres. Treballa conjuntament amb el govern de Cambodja i dóna cobertura mèdica gratuïta.
La Universitat Internacional de la Pau organitza del 17 al 23 de juliol un curs d'estiu sobre la Mediterrània i les seves problemàtiques.
Actualment la Mediterrània és l'escenari de diferents formes de violència estructural. Mentre a la riba nord, els països viuen ofegats per la crisi econòmica, el deute, l'atur, els denonaments i el desmantellament del fràgil estat del benestar, a l'altre costat del mar les primaveres tenen diverses conseqüències, amb situacions esperançadores com les de Tunísia i creixement de conflictes com el de Síria, Egipte i el Líban.
Però tot i els conflictes, a ambdues ribes es mouen els moviments socials i les relacions de cooperació i una possible unió mediterrània obren esperances que es volen estudiar en el curs d'estiu que la Universitat Internacional de la Pau ha preparat del 17 al 23 de juliol.
La formació comptarà amb diverses conferències que tindran lloc al Centre Borja de Sant Cugat del Vallès (carrer Llaceres, 30).

Totes les persones que van participar o estan interessades en el procés del Fòrum Social Català, reflex a casa nostra del procés del Fòrum Social Mundial, estan convidades a assistir a una jornada d'avaluació i debat.
Una jornada-col·loqui de presentació dels resultats i de debat sobre els propers passos a seguir. Serà el proper dimecres 11 de juny a les 19h a la seu de la FCONG (Tapies 1-3, Barcelona).

Caldria confirmació d'assistència a info@forumsocialcatala.cat, per raons organitzatives i per saber quantes persones assistiran. La trobada es vol que sigui “l’ocasió de debatre sobre la continuïtat de les confluències, de la complementarietat i de la permeabilitat entre les associacions, lluites, moviments socials ja en marxa a Catalunya i sobre les sinergies d’aquests amb la societat civil. Voldríem de fet que poguéssim reflexionar conjuntament sobre la pertinença d'un espai com a l'FSCat per a assolir aquesta continuïtat”.
Medi ambient, gènere, cooperació per al desenvolupament, salut, participació, agricultura ecològica, entre molts d'altres. La formació en qüestions socials no s'acaba amb el curs acadèmic. Troba el teu!
Les universitats catalanes obren aquest mes de juny les inscripcions per als cursos que s'impartiran els mesos de juliol i agost en el marc de la Universitat d'Estiu. D'acord amb el context acadèmic i de recerca que en gran part marca la universitat, molts dels cursos complementen la formació de les titulacions que ofereixen.
A més, però, en nombroses ocasions tant els òrgans de govern de les universitats com les institucions que en depenen han fet palès l'interès en reforçar, promoure i fer créixer la implicació social de la universitat i la formació en temàtiques o perspectives alternatives, com la cooperació, el gènere, l'agricultura ecològica, enter d'altres.
Aquesta setmana tots els períodes d'inscripció són oberts: Universitat Rovira i Virgili (URV) ofereix, entre d'altres, un curs d'anàlisi sobre el contingut sexista de la publicitat. La Universitat Pompeu Fabra (UPF), per la seva banda, incorpora en el seu programa un curs sobre violència de gènere o els drets dels consumidors. De la mateixa manera, Universitat de Barcelona (UB) dóna possibilitat a trobar cursos en totes les branques acadèmiques. La Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC) ofereix, per exemple, cursos sobre natura i ecosistema.
L'àrea de Dinamització de la Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB), a través d'entitats com Cultura en Viu, l'Observatori de la Igualtat o la Fundació Autònoma Solidària (FAS), donen l'oportunitat de fer cursos sobre perspectives de la sexualitat, cooperació per al desenvolupament, noves formes de relació de les dones en la cooperació i el treball o interpretació teatral. Finalment, la Xarxa Vives d'Universitats disposa també d'un directori ben estructurat de possibilitat de cursos.
Tots els cursos oferts des de les universitats i alguns dels de la Xarxa Vives són convalidables ja sigui per crèdits de lliure elecció o per crèdits ECTS. No triguis, troba el que t'interessa i inscriu-t'hi!
La Fundació Pere Tarrés organitza a partir del 24 de maig un curs orientat a adquirir les habilitats necessàries per poder intervenir amb infants amb trastorn de conducta.
La formació, reconeguda pel Pla de Formació del Voluntariat de Catalunya, està adreçada a educadors en el lleure, voluntaris d’entitats infantils i juvenils i altres educadors d’infants i joves en general.
Programa
Una família catalana ha visitat 18 països d'Àsia i Amèrica. Volen editar un llibre amb les vivències i donar els beneficis a una ONG Hospital de Cambodja especialitzat en nens.
L'Albert i la Karina tenen dues passions a la vida: la família i veure món. El 2012, quan els seus fills Bernat i Abril tenien 5 i 3 anys respectivament, van decidir no renunciar a cap de les dues i embrancar-se en un viatge que els portaria a veure món al llarg de 550 dies.
Ha passat un any i mig i les vivències que ha acumulat la família al llarg d'aquest viatge són moltes. El relat de la seva aventura pot consultar-se a La volta el món amb família i ben aviat també podrà llegir-se en paper.
Per aconseguir-ho han engegat una campanya de micromecenatge a través de Verkami. El seu objectiu era aconseguir un total de 4600€ abans del 25 de maig, però a dia d'avui ja han superat aquesta xifra. Tant els diners derivats de la venda del llibre com aquells diners que s'estan recaptant de més durant la campanya aniran destinats a l'ONG Angkor Hospital for Children de Siem Reap, a Cambodja.
Hem preguntat a la Karina Sobré, mare de la família, per què els beneficis van destinats a aquesta organització en concret.
Volíem donar els diners a un lloc que haguéssim conegut i que signifiqués alguna cosa per nosaltres. A Siem Reap vam coincidir amb un metge d'Estats Units que estava treballant en aquest hospital gratuïtament i, a través d'aquest metge, el vam poder anar a visitar. És un hospital fundat per una ONG i enfocat només a nens, sobretot de zones rurals. Els atenen gratuïtament. Cada dia salven vides.
A part d'hospitals, també heu visitat escoles.
Abans de començar el viatge ja teníem pensat anar a conèixer escoles del món. La nostra idea era visitar-les, parlar amb els directors i professors, entrar a una classe corresponent a la de l’edat del Bernat i veure què feien, quins recursos tenien, etc. A tot arreu ens han rebut amb els braços oberts. Veus moltes diferències a nivell educatiu. Ens hem trobat amb escoles de països molt poc desenvolupats... I amb d’altres, com a Equador, en què vam comparar el temari i vam dir: Bernat, posa’t les piles que estan molt avançats! Demanàvem que ens cantessin una cançó –de vegades ens cantaven l'himne nacional–i nosaltres els cantàvem una cançó en català.
Com s'ho han fet el Bernat i l'Abril per no endarrerir-se en el curs escolar?
Nosaltres volíem que els dos seguissin amb la seva classe quan tornéssim. Si els professors ens haguessin dit que perdrien un any, no hauríem fet el viatge. Hem tingut molt suport per part de la seva escola. Abans de marxar ens va dir els conceptes que havia d'aprendre el Bernat a 1r de primària: llegir la lletra lligada, fer sumes, les figures geomètriques, tractar temes com els animals... I nosaltres, a la nostra manera i de vegades recolzats per pàgines web, els anàvem ensenyant. El Bernat ha après a fer sumes a la sorra de les platja, multiplicacions als trekkings... Fins i tot l'Abril ha après a llegir lletra de pal tot i que no li tocava per edat. No fèiem classe cada dia, només quan podíem, però 24 hores junts donen per molt! A part també hem fet alguns skypes amb la seva classe. Si tornés a fer el viatge no em preocuparia tant pel tema ensenyament perquè el nivell del Bernat a la tornada ha sigut el de la mitjana de la seva classe.
I vosaltres, com vau prendre la decisió de marxar?
Quan viatjàvem trobàvem gent que feia ruta per un període llarg, ens quedàvem amb una cara embovada i pensàvem: tant de bo ho poguéssim fer. Ara fa dos anys, els nens ja tenien una edat, teníem salut i un petit estalvi per poder-ho fer. I en lloc de comprar-nos un cotxe nou vam decidir invertir aquests diners en experiències i conèixer món. Tots dos som autònoms i corríem un risc deixant la feina, però també és veritat que la crisi ens va ajudar a llençar-nos al projecte. Ha estat una experiència per gaudir de la família viatjant i gaudir del viatge amb la família.
El Servei Civil Internacional de Catalunya organitza dues formacions destinades a la coordinació de projectes de voluntariat internacional i a la iniciació en aquest tipus de projectes.
Els cursos, reconeguts pel Pla de Formació del Voluntariat de Catalunya, estan adreçats a persones que participen en camps de voluntariat i/o solidaritat internacional per primera vegada i a persones amb un grau d’experiència en el món del voluntariat internacional i amb interès per a la coordinació de grups participants de projectes internacionals.
També pot ser d'utilitat per a persones interessades en la dinamització, gestió i facilitació de grups de voluntaris/es o persones vinculades a entitats i que necessiten desenvolupar tasques d’internacionalització en aquestes.
L’objectiu principal d’aquest curs és oferir als i les voluntàries les eines necessàries per conèixer i iniciar-se a la cultura del voluntariat internacional, la participació social i la solidaritat. Es tracta, d’una primera aproximació on els participants poden descobrir un mapa global de temes relacionats amb el voluntariat internacional. De la mateixa manera, també permet la discussió sobre qüestions de temàtica social global.
L’objectiu principal d’aquest curs és oferir als i les voluntàries que seran coordinadors/es de grups participants en projectes internacionals (o interessats en ser-ho) les eines necessàries per la facilitació i dinamització de grups. La persona coordinadora prendrà consciència de quin és el seu rol i com el pot portar a terme, quines eines poden aplicar per prevenir els conflictes i afavorir la participació. I finalment, com es poden resoldre els conflictes de manera constructiva.
La formació, finançada pel Programa d’Innovació i Qualitat Democràtica de la Generalitat de Catalunya, vol dotar a tècnics i responsables d'entitats d'instruments per fer un procés de millora de la seva participació interna.
En el context actual, les entitats necessiten cohesionar i incrementar la seva base social per poder ser cada vegada més útils a la societat. Per això, és necessari millorar la implicació activa dels diferents agents que fan possible la vida de l’entitat.
Amb aquesta idea, la Fundació Pere Tarrés organitza a partir del 22 de maig un curs que busca focalitzar els esforços en elements desencadenants de millores substantives en la participació dels directius, socis, col•laboradors, voluntaris, professionals o bé finançadors i donar eines a les entitats perquè puguin afrontar un pla de millora de la participació a partir d’un enfocament lligat a la solució pràctica de les pròpies mancances.
El curs va destinat a professionals o directius del món associatiu català que vulguin impulsar processos de millora de la participació interna de les entitats.
La formació podrà realitzar-se en dues modalitats, semi-presencial o e-learning i comptarà amb el següent programa:

Francina Alsina, presidenta de la FCVS, i Lluís Romeu, president de la FASVOL, han firmat un conveni de col·laboració per formar voluntaris de l'entitat de voluntariat de La Caixa.
Segons Francina Alsina, FCVS, aquest conveni “permetrà millorar la formació i la manera de viure el voluntariat a tots els que s’integren a les associacions de FASVOL”. Per la seva banda, Lluís Romeu ha destacat que “la formació és un dret i un deure de qualsevol voluntari i des de FASVOL posarem sempre els instruments perquè els voluntaris de “la Caixa” facin la seva feina de voluntariat amb la millor preparació”.
Amb aquesta formació s’aconsegueix reunir i cohesionar un grup de persones que compartiran una nova experiència comuna: el voluntariat. Se’ls dóna la benvinguda i es transmeten de forma pràctica i dinàmica els valors essencials per exercir el voluntariat: compromís, solidaritat, respecte, saber escoltar, tolerància, responsabilitat...
Tal com explica Francina Alsina , “no n’hi ha prou a voler ser voluntari també, se n’ha de saber ser.” Lluís Romeu destaca que “ el voluntariat acaba el curs coneixent totes les activitats de la seva associació i té una visió global d’on poden encaixar millor les seves habilitats”.
Una primera edició pilot d’aquest curs va tenir lloc a començaments de març a Caixa Fòrum de Barcelona amb voluntaris que s’incorporaven a l’Associació del Barcelonès i el Vallès Occidental. El curs va ser molt ben valorat pels assistents, perquè reforça el caràcter, la professionalitat i el compromís dels Voluntaris Caixa. En els propers mesos està previst que s’imparteixin cursos en totes aquelles associacions de voluntaris de FASVOL que ho sol·licitin.

L'acte final a Catalunya del Festival de clipmetratges "El teu punt de vista pot canviar el món" se celebra el proper dimarts 25 de març a l'auditori del CaixaForum Barcelona.
L'acte final a Catalunya del Festival de clipmetratges "El teu punt de vista pot canviar el món" se celebra el proper dimarts 25 de març a l'auditori del CaixaForum Barcelona.
Et convidem a assistir amb els teus amics a aquest festival de curts d'1 minut sobre el desafiament de la fam al món. Podrem veure en pantalla gran els vídeos finalistes i guanyadors en les temàtiques de consum responsable, agricultura familiar i especulació amb els preus dels aliments.
L'acte s'iniciarà amb un parell de cançons de crítica social, divertida i irònica, del cantautor aragonès Kike Ubieto, que recentment ha presentat el seu nou disc "Pan y circo", en què fa un repàs per temes d'actualitat com la corrupció política, la situació de la banca o el tercer món, amb el tema Àfrica.
En la categoria escoles han participat en aquesta cinquena edició del Festival de clipmetratges 243 vídeos de col·legis i instituts de Catalunya.
El vídeo que aconsegueixi més vots fins al 17 de març té com a premi entrades a Port Aventura per a tota la classe. En aquest enllaç pots veure, comentar i votar els vídeos de les escoles de Catalunya. A l'àmbit estatal, les votacions contiuen obertes fins el maig.
La classe guanyadora del Premi del Jurat a Catalunya podrà gaudir d'una estada en un alberg de Xanascat i representarà Catalunya en la final nacional, que se celebra el 10 de maig a Madrid. Optarà per tant als premis d'àmbit estatal.
Els premis i reconeixements els lliurarà el popular actor Igor Szpakowski, que interpreta al Jordi a la sèrie "Polseres vermelles". Igor també és el protagonista de "La por", l'última pel·lícula del president del jurat català, el director de cinema Jordi Cadena.
Un altre al·licient per assistir a l'acte del CaixaForum és escoltar la denúncia de les causes de la fam al món que realitzarà l'exdirector general de la UNESCO Federico Mayor Zaragoza. Les seves paraules, que ha gravat en vídeo especialment per a aquesta gala, posen el dit a la nafra i ens conviden a reflexionar sobre les contradiccions del nostre model de globalització, que condemna a la fam i la pobresa extrema a centenars de milions de persones. La xacra de la fam i la pobresa extrema, que produeix 60.000 morts diàries, és inacceptable i intolerable en ple segle XXI. Especialment quan les causes responen en bona part a interessos inconfessables.
A la mitja part, podrem gaudir d'un espectacle de dansa africana. Les ballarines etíops Lídia i Winni interpretaran una dansa d'Etiòpia i una altra de Costa d'Ivori.
Al festival de curtmetratges d'1 minut del CaixaForum podrem veure també els millors clipmetratges d'autors de Catalunya que han participat en la Categoria General, en la qual participen professionals i estudiants del sector audiovisual.
Segur que els curts de la categoria general tenen molta qualitat. Esperem que algun d'ells guanyi a la final nacional, tal com va passar l'any passat amb "Grita por el cambio". Precisament, les autores del curt guanyador de la IV edició del Festival, Lucía i Camila, compartiran amb nosaltres al CaixaForum la seva experiència en el viatge a Equador per visitar projectes de desenvolupament de Mans Unides. A la gala podrem veure el tràiler del documental que van gravar a l'Equador al costat del curtmetratgista Daniel Chamorro. Els guanyadors d'aquest any, tindran també un premi d'excepció: viatjaran a un país del Sud amb el cineasta Santiago Zannou, director de "El truco del manco" i "El alacrán enamorado".
El periodista Pepe Nieves, director del programa de cinema "La Claqueta" de Ràdio Marca, conduirà la gala dels clipmetratges de Catalunya. Els membres del jurat col·laboraran en el lliurament de premis. I el documentalista Josep Lluís Penadés presentarà el seu nou documental sobre els indígenes de Chiapas, rodat fa uns mesos amb la col·laboració de Mans Unides.
Vols veure les fotos i els vídeos premiats a la gala de l'any passat? Al Festival de Clipmetratges del 2013 ens van acompanyar el director de "Polseres Vermelles" Pau Freixas, l'actriu Laia Costa, que interpreta la Rym en aquesta sèrie, i l'Arcadi Oliveres. Va ser una festa que va agradar molt els assitents. Segur que la d'enguany no et defraudarà.

La 4ª edició del Fòrum Social Català és a Barcelona els dies 11, 12 i 13 d'abril a l'edifici històric de la Universitat de Barcelona. Hi ha dates prèvies a considerar. El FSM aterra de nou a Catalunya.
Aquestes són les dates centrals, però el Fòrum Social Català (FSCat) 2014 ja fa mesos que s'està gestant, i té altres dates a considerar.
Fins el 3 de març està obert el període per fer propostes de seminaris i activitats. Els seminaris tindran lloc el dissabte 12 d'abril amb una durada màxima d'hora i mitja en franges de dues hores.
Anoteu també a l'agenda la data del 5 de febrer, a les 19h tindrà lloc la propera assemblea del FSCat on es continuarà el procès de construció del FSCat 2014. Serà a la seu de la Federació Catalana d'ONG (Carrer de les Tapies 3, Barcelona). Hi haurà alguna assemblea del FSCat abans de l'abril.
