The statement which was delivered at the High Level Panel Discussion on Human Rights Mainstreaming is underlinning the need to make education a priority in the post-2015 framework . This statement emphasizes the need of ensuring universal access to quality education and to address the barriers that keep many children – especially girls – out of school, including child marriage and violence in and around schools. Quality education should ensure quality of learning and enable children to develop their full potential, and reflect and promote nondiscrimination, gender equality and human rights.

This statement fits with the purpose of the Arigatou International ethics education program highlighting that quality education gives children and young people the tools to end child poverty and create a better environment of respect for each other.
